The KDCF is now accepting donations for the Kimberley Refugee Resettlement Group. (KRRG)
The Kimberley Refugee Resettlement Group was formed in November 2015 as a community response to the Syrian refugee crisis. The short term purpose of the group is to provide funding and resettlement support in Kimberley to one or two Syrian families from the Government Assisted Refugee program currently underway. In the longer term they expect to provide similar assistance to other refugee families from Syria or elsewhere and, as funding permits, to also offer assistance to improve the conditions in the refugee camps around the World. In addition they will act to champion refugee issues in our community, fostering diversity, respect, understanding and tolerance while becoming global citizens. You can learn more about the KRRG at their website: www.kimberleyrefugees.ca. Or you email them at info (at) KimberleyRefugees (dot) ca.
Charitable receipts will be issued for donations of $20 or more. Cheques can be made payable to the Kimberley & District Community Foundation and mailed to 42 – 101st Ave. Kimberley, BC V1A 1A3. Please indicate on the cheque that the donation is for the Kimberley Refugee Fund.
Online donations can also be made via our partner Canada Helps, by clicking here. Charitable receipts for online donations are issued by Canada Helps. ( Note: A 3.5% transaction fee will be deducted from online donations.)
