BC Games Legacy Grants Awarded

On March 4, 2020 we awarded a total of $9251.00 to 9 different sports groups in the Kimberley area from our BC Games Legacy Fund. The Fund is comprised of legacy funds from the 1980 and 2008 BC Winter Games and the 2018 BC 55+ Summer Games. The following amounts were awarded:


Kimberley Alpine Team received $1500 for radios, tables and benches.

Wasa Lions Club received $1650 for hockey goals and nets.

Kimberley Nordic Racers received $1241.63 for 2-way radios.

Kootenay Freewheelers Cycling Club received $500 for training coaches.

Kimberley Skating Club received $1500 for a jumping harness.

Kootenay East Youth Soccer Association received $1500 for hosting tournament.

St. Mary’s Valley Rural Association received $360 for cross country trail maintenance.

Kimberley Gymnastics Club received $500.

Kimberley Sea Horse Swim Club received $500.
